Brewery managers said the taproom and New Haven-style pizza pub will occupy a “sizable” indoor/outdoor space at Gravity. The development is slated to include apartments, offices and retailers.
The new Taft’s location will take over a 5,800-square-foot space at Gravity and will feature an extensive patio.

“We love that Franklinton is an up-and-coming area. And we love the neighborhood’s arts culture, which really fits the roots of our brand. We think it’s going to be a homerun,” Kassling said via a release. “Columbus, like Cincinnati, has a great population of beer drinkers, and they’ve shown us in our bar and grocery business that there’s a demand for our beer. It’s truly an honor for our whole team to have the opportunity to take the leap to another great Ohio city.”
Taft’s currently operate a brewpub in Over-the-Rhine in a restored turn-of-the-century church, and a taproom and production facility in Spring Grove Village.
